Women Healers of the World

Herbalist Holly Bellebuono spent seven years traveling and interviewing women from all over the globe, and she enjoys sharing their stories, their plights, their fears and their achievements, especially since much of their work is dangerous, restricted, or even threatened. The book is a colorful celebration of women, herbs, medicine, and startling perseverance.

Herbalist and author Holly Bellebuono directs the Vineyard Herbs Teas & Apothecary on Martha's Vineyard and The Bellebuono School of Herbal Medicine, offering training and certification in Community Herbalism. As the author of The Essential Herbal for Natural Health (Shambhala Publishers) and The Authentic Herbal Healer (Balboa Press), Holly is also author of the new WOMEN HEALERS OF THE WORLD: The Traditions, History & Geography of Herbal Medicine, foreword by Rosemary Gladstar (SkyHorse/Helios Press, 2014, hardcover).
