Out Loud, KBOO's queer news & culture radiozine.
On Out Loud this week, we'll be talking with Jayce Marcus, the student who has been denied permission to live in all-male student housing at the Christian college, George Fox University, because he is trans. The refusal was upheld in the past week by the US Department of Education, which granted George Fox U. a waiver from anti-discrimination statutes, based on George Fox's 'religious affiliation.'

He will be joined by attorney Paul Southwick, who has been leading a campaign for LGBT acceptance at Christian colleges.

We'll also chat with DJ Action Slacks, aka Shannon Wiberg, about the perils and passions of being a queer female DJ in Portland. Her event, RED HOT!, is this Saturday at the East End.
