Portland’s 5th Annual Graffiti Abatement Summit is being held on Thursday May 23rd2013 from 6:30-8:30pm at Montgomery Park (2701 NW Vaughn St). This summit is a training attended by graffiti abatement officials, the DA, police officers, and community members interested in the topic of graffiti abatement and removal. There will also be a 'Paint and Teach-In' event, organized by local artists, held outside the Graffiti Abatement Summit, starting an hour before at5:30pm. It is hoped that this community family-friendly event will help open up a dialogue regarding the presence of art in public spaces in the City of Portland.
