The International Independent Expert Mechanism to Advance Racial Justice and Equality in the context of Law Enforcement (EMLER) met for its fifth session March 24 and 25 at the UN in New York. They held two days of public in-person consultations on systemic racism against Africans and people of African descent in the enforcement of drug laws and policies.
