On this edition of Century of Lies: Human Rights Violations in the 2025 Philippine Election.

A report issued Tuesday May 27 by the International Observer Mission found that the 2025 Philippine elections failed to meet international standards for free and fair elections, citing grave and widespread violations of human rights across the country. This comprehensive report was the result of an independent international initiative organized by the International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines that adopted a rights-based approach to monitoring the elections.

ICHRP held a news conference May 27 to launch the report. On this edition of Century we listen to portions of that launch including presentations by Doctor Andrea Mann, Director of Global Relations at the Anglican Church of Canada; Lee Rhiannon, former member of the Australian Senate; and Colleen Moore, Director of Peace With Justice at the General Board of Church and Society of the United Methodist Church.
