
On March 6-7, 2025 the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission Summit was held in Salem. OCJC Chair Paul Solomon introduces speakers whose sentences were commuted by former Governor Kate Brown after serving decades in the Oregon prison system. Sterling Cunio is an award-winning author, playwright and poet currently working as lead consultant with the Ubuntu Climate Initiative. Christopher Lambert’s work focuses on at-risk youth and formerly incarcerated individuals and he is the Regional Service Director of Rose City J.A.M at the Oregon Justice Network. Since their release both have been forces for change in their communities and tirelessly work to break the cycle of incarceration. Both share their experiences while incarcerated, reentry and finding success in the community.
