The Washington Office on Latin America recently hosted a group of experts in a discussion entitled Responding Effectively to the Fentanyl Overdose Crisis: Evidence from the Border and Beyond. We hear from Sanho Tree, a Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies and Director of its Drug Policy Project; Sarah Mehta, Senior Policy Counsel at the ACLU; and Maritza Perez Medina, Director of Federal Affairs at the Drug Policy Alliance.

Plus, The Sentencing Project has released a new report entitled Locked Out 2024: Four Million Denied Voting Rights Due to a Felony Conviction. We hear from one of the report’s co-authors, Christopher Uggen, PhD, Regents Professor of Sociology at the University of Minnesota.
