According to its website, the Recovery Cafe Network, established in 2016, is “comprised of Recovery Cafés committed to serving people who have experienced trauma and the results of trauma like homelessness, substance use disorder, addiction, and other mental health challenges using the Recovery Café Model.” Recovery Cafe Roseway, located in my home town of Portland, Oregon is an Emerging Member of the Recovery Cafe Network. To learn more about Recovery Cafes and how they work, I sat down and spoke with a member of the Recovery Cafe Roseway’s Board of Directors, Cheryl Seiler.
