This week on Century of Lies: Young People and Alcohol.
On Monday Sept. 16 the Ministry of Health of Spain, the World Health Organization’s Regional Office for Europe, and the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies held a spotlight session on Addressing Youth Alcohol Prevention to provide a broader regional perspective on alcohol prevention among young people and particularly minors in Europe, and to discuss recent evidence on prevention and best policy practices.
On this edition of Century we hear from two of the speakers: Maria Neufeld, Technical Officer in the Alcohol, Illicit Drugs & Prison Health Programme at the World Health Organization Regional Office in Europe, and Doctor Pablo Estrella Porter, a medical doctor from Ecuador who holds a Master's in Public Health from Spain's National School of Public Health and is currently working toward his doctorate in that field and as well as pursuing a preventive medicine residency in Valencia.
