In Canada, activists and harm reduction advocates are organizing to resist closure of overdose prevention sites across the province of Ontario. Meanwhile in the United States, a bill is making its way through the Colorado Legislature to allow municipalities to authorize the opening of safe consumption sites. We hear from one of the co-sponsors of House Bill 24-1028, Rep. Elisabeth Epps, plus Lisa Raville with the Harm Reduction Action Center and Thomas Hernandez with Tribe Recovery Homes.
