Medea Benjamin on the Ukraine war, U.S. politics and how to build a more effective peace movement

Big time thanks for a calming, focusing and most of all clarifying exchange.

Including the callers who either agreed or dissented from Medea Benjamin's and your own observations mostly on the Ukraine\Russia global quagmire, yet also on the plethora of human issues bogged down in mass mediated chicanery.

I cannot wait for the hour-long audio archive to post for to send out to the Lay-Low Studios, Ore-Wa Media Discussion List that has similarly been vexed and hexed by the too many issues all pressing in on all fronts all of the time well before the onset of our Pandemic In Perpetuity and what too often appear to be a series of Old Testes plagues upon our race of species, especially those here in the wealthiest if most stratified nation\states in quantified human his\herstory that had been normalizing homelessness for so many of our shared years of rising tides sinking rather than raising all boats.

As any clear-eyed Cost\Benefit analysis of the past 5 decades of Executive policy-making outcomes would reveal. Putting the LIE to all of the venal House of Bush (Reagan and the actor's puppet-master Grover Norquist) and House of Clinton-Obama-Biden Wealth Concentrating Agenda. With their Wall Street constituencies and self-interested subversion of policy-making from a Public Interest privileging endeavor into our now normalized Private Interest privileging of policy-making and corporate capture of our wondrous instruments of mass communications turned to the purposes of privately hoarding wealth rather than investing it into our generational purpose-gracing community-centered and shared future.

With easily and early grasped hellish results of those Executive compensated policy outcomes, led off by Daddy Warbucks and our Perma War externalized dual prong attack on our planet occasioned by the Industrial Revolution and its more insidious shift to Financialization (again to privilege the already privileged few over the Public Interest).

This morning's chat though kept the views exchanged calm in expression, respectful in tone even among the disagreements and most appreciated of all, clarifying in the way we can compare how Code Pink and Medea Benjamin's along with yours and the callers perspectives might take this planet lurching off its carefully balanced spinning axis and orbit into healing acts of communal remediation. We can't see our Maker but we should be able to see the ways we all have to move in our often powerless lives to get things back with the Public Interest restored to the center of our envisioned return to human sense and sensibilities, while discarding the Cold War Propaganda Czar Milton Friedman's alternative and alien value system.

If you can call a non-stop self-serving grab a "value system" any more than Miltie and the Chicago Boys and Girls permission to subvert the world's many faith systems extolling variations on the Golden Rule and replacing it with the biggest heresy of all: that Chicago School of E-CON media meme alternately known as Neo-Liberal or Neo-Conservative E-CON crowned by its elite pledge of "Greed Is Good" and "Shrink then drown big government in a bath tub...." Never allowed to respond with the observation that is what Third World Banana Republic autocracies looks like...

I don't know how Daddy Warbucks could lead the Perma War E-CON-O-my with small and drownable government as its tool, engine and monetarist checkbook!
