Extinction Rebellion PDX (XRPDX) is launching what it describes as a Spring Rebellion beginning on April 24th with a series of non-violent actions against banks and other industries that profit from fossil fuels. Jan Haaken talks with Lynn Spitaleri Handlin, organizer with XR PDX and founding member of Cascadia Magical Activists, about the Spring Rebellion. They discuss the movement strategy behind the events, including the tactics of direct actions and forms of street theater. They also discuss the role of coalitions in the climate justice movement.
