On this episode of the Gap, Tammy and Althea talk about the goings on in our halls of government - in Portland and Salem. The Civic Life office is going to cut funding for BIPOC advocacy organizations to redirect it to neighborhood associations. We're talking about those implications and the measure in the Oregon Legislature to give state another shot at gun control.

Then, we ask our listeners, what do you think of tipping culture? What should we be tipping on, is it for good service or to make up for structural problems and wage stagnation?

Thanks to everyone who called in!

Comments

Thanks for another great show! I really appreciate your openess to others' opinions in a time when people are afraid to say the wrong thing with constantly changing language and rules. While I am in favor of the intention behind the changes, sometimes the lack of room for human error and understanding creates division rather than movement forward.
