Dual Diagnosis Anonymous is a peer support program based on a version of the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous with an additional five steps focusing on dual diagnosis (mental illness and substance abuse). Meets 7-8 pm Fridays at Live and Let Live Club, 1210 SE Seventh Ave.

This evening in Corvallis,the Teal Artists' Cooperative Gallery invites you to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Many local artists will be displaying and selling their work in person. The Co-op is located at 120 SW 4th Street in Corvallis.

Tomorrow, the YWCA Downtown Center invites you and  yours to enjoy, or volunteer at, a free community meal, featuring music by local jazz musicians. All are welcome to drop in between noon and  3 at 1111 SW 10th Avenue in downtown Portland.

This winter and spring, the Oregon  Nikkei Legacy Center invites you to TAKEN: FBI, an exhibit examining the experiences of the families of over 17,000 individuals of Japanese descent in the western United States imprisoned by the FBI and the Department of Justice shortly after the bombing ofthe U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor in the 1940s. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday at 121 NW 2nd Avenue in downtown Portland.

The Early Assessment and Support Alliance is an outreach and treatment program for young people ages 15 to 25 who are experiencing the first symptoms of psychosis.
The Alliance’s services and resources include

  • low-dose medication and medication monitoring
  • individual and group counseling
  • multi-family groups
  • occupational therapy
  • family education and support
  • vocational training
  • life-skills coaching
  • 24/7 crisis services
  • links to community resources
  • education about psychosis

Psychosis can happen to anybody; it is most likely to first occur during young adulthood and it may affect three out of every 100 young people.
