The centerpiece of today's show is an archival recording of an appearance on The Songcircle on January 14, 2011, by Kelly Joe Phelps (who passed away on May 31, 2022), in duet with Californian singer-songwriter Corinne West. The original episode featured a variety of male-female duets, and is rebroadcast almost in its entirety. Today's episode closes with a pair of rare recordings from Kelly Joe's first album sessions, which were added to a reissue of the album, now out of print, with the haunting titles "We Got To Meet Death One Day" and "Ever Be Here Again". RIP, KJP.
