It used to be that the mainstream media avoided labor news like the plague. Not so anymore, says Lane Windham, veteran labor activist, who argues that the upsurge in media interest in labor struggles both reflects and shapes growing public approval of unions and a move away from the neoliberal consensus that unions stand in the way of progress. Patricia Kullberg, our Well-read Red, reads from an article entitled “Why There’s More Labor Media Coverage,” published online in Working-Class Perspectives on March 14, 2022.
