Please join us for Transpositive on KBOO Community Radio on Tuesday, January 18th at 6 pm as we talk with Misty Fall, Raven Von Hale, and Carter Lee for an ongoing series about gender identity and disability from a person-centered perspective. Raven Von Hale will discuss experiences 0f being misdiagnosed by the medical establishment. Misty Fall discusses experiences of having both very good medical care and very bad medical care. Carter Lee is a disabled nonbinary person who will share their stories of interactions with medical personnel who have misgendered them and failed to address them with dignity and professional respect. Carter Lee hopes that giving disabled queer trans people an opportunity to authentically share their stories in the media will help to raise awareness about the treatment of trans and non-binary people, and especially raise awareness about issues facing trans and non-binary persons with a disability.
