Laughter is good for the soul, especially as a healthy coping skill with the holidaze fast approaching. One favorite way to stay sane during the holidaze is to laugh. Alot. So tonight we're getting an early start on our holiday cheer (or sneer, depending on your mood) with a special comedy-centric hour of queer radio.
We start the show with a music break from Chris Pureka's 'Silo Song'. Chris is playing at Mississippi Studios tomorrow Wed Nov 10, with local talent Max Voltage on backup.
Joining us in studio tonight is Whitney Streed and Valerie Branch. These two talented comics are performing at Laughterglow, a comedy showcase of epic proportions, featuring stand-up comedians, musicians, and more. Laughterglow is happening at the Weird Bar on November 11.
Comedians Belinda Carroll and Sabrina Matthews also join us. They are warming up for their show: Gaylarious! happening Thursday, Nov 18 at 8:00pm at Aura.
Community announcements included The Circus Project's fundraiser happening tonight at the Red Cap Garage.
Dirty Queer is happening Friday night at In Other Words bookstore & community center, starting at 6:30 pm.
Communi-T, Portland's trans resource fair, is happening Sunday Nov 14 from 1 to 5pm at the Q Center.
