  • Everyday Resistance. Bill Resnick interviews Kevin Van Meter who wrote the book Guerrillas of Desire: Notes on the Everyday Resistance and Organizing to Make a Revolution Possible. He is now working as union organizer. In his books and articles Van Meter challenges those who contend that capitalism has been largely successful in domesticating workers, that working class radicalism has been vanquished. Van Meter contends that an examination of the everyday life and work of most people reveals multiple forms of resistance that can be the springboard for building the movements needed to transform this country.
  • Workplace Struggles are Political. Joe Clement Talks with Marianne Garneau about her new piece in Organizing Work, Workplace Struggles are Political. https://organizing.work/2021/07/workplace-struggles-are-political/. Marianne Garneau lives New York, where she is involved in workplace, student, and tenant organizing.
  • PMPC & Municipal Broadband. Desiree Hellegers talks with Hyung Nam, an organizer with the Portland Metro People's Coalition PMPC, a coalition of 24 organizations, about their organizing platform, including their support for municipal broadband, which is critical not only to bridge the digital divide in the age of pandemics and online education, but essential for democracy and to safeguard net neutrality.
