The Gap: Anti-Blackness colors false media narratives and generational gaps exposed on TikTok

On this episode of the Gap, Tammy and Althea connect the recent Oprah interview with Meghan Markle to false hit-and-run allegations against Portland City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty. The Oregonian ran a story that Hardesty was a suspect in a hit and run, but the connection was based on racial profiling and leaked by the Portland Police Bureau to Hardesty's adversaries to make her look bad. Anti-Blackness colors the narratives that both Hardesty and Markle faced in the media, making false stories seem believable.
