On January 28 2014 at 11.00am Joseph Gallivan interviews the painter and sculptor Whiting Tennis. Tennis will talk about his response to the built environment in Seattle, his method of automatic drawing and how it relates to his three dimensional structures, and what kind of music he listens to in the studio. And blue tarps. Whiting Tennis has a show at the Hallie Ford Museum in Salem which runs until March 23, 2104. This interview was recorded on January 23, 2014 as Tennis passed through Portland on his way to give a lecture in Salem.

At the regular hour of 11.30 am on the same day Joseph Gallivan will interview Blake Shell, the who recently became the Director and Curator of The Art Gym and Belluschi Pavilion at Marylhurst University in Lake Oswego. She will talk about her plans for the Art Gym and giver take on contemporary are in Portland and beyond.
