WHAT WE'RE FIGHTING FOR NOW IS EACH OTHER: Dispatches from the Front Lines of Climate JusticeHosts Celeste and Cecil speak with independent journalist and climate activist Wen Stephenson about his new book. In this book Stephenson tells his own story and offers an up-close, on-the-ground look at some of the remarkable and courageous people—those he calls “new American radicals”—who have laid everything on the line to build and inspire this fast-growing movement: old-school environmentalists and young climate-justice organizers, frontline community leaders and Texas tar-sands blockaders, Quakers and college students, evangelicals and Occupiers. |

scott crow: Emergency Hearts, Molotov Dreamsscott crow is a community organizer, activist, and anarchist. That last label has landed him on the FBI’s list of ‘dangerous people’ – simply because of his beliefs, not because of any action he’s taken. During this pledge drive special, he'll speak with us on how we can create a better world together and take responsibility for our own lives. You can get a copy of his book during our winter membership drive -- click here to join KBOO, and be sure to add a request for the book in the 'comments' section of the form! |
