September 11th has become an American High Holy Day. Similar to Good Friday in the middle ages, when Christians would leave mass fired up for violence against Jews who "crucified our Lord", now 9/11 is the day to "remember" that it was Muslims who attacked "us" in an attempt to destroy our freedoms. Islamophobic assaults occur more frequently now than in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 thanks to Trump's Islamophobic platform.

Kevin Barrett is a leading intellectual of the 9/11 Truth Movement. He has a Ph. D. in African Languages and Literature (with an Arabic-Islamic Studies focus). From 1991 through 2006 Dr. Barrett taught at colleges and universities in San Francisco, Paris and Wisconsin. In summer 2006 Dr. Barrett was attacked by a group of Republican state legislators who called for him to be fired from his job at the University of Wisconsin-Madison due to his political opinions. Since 2007 he has been informally blacklisted from the American University system for questioning the War on Terror and the official story of 9/11.
