The ENRON scandal was one of the biggest cases of corporate corruption in the history of the United States. Few people remember that Oregon was the hardest-hit state by the corporation’s implosion. ENRON owned Portland General Electric – the fraud-filled corporation’s only actual asset. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the conviction of ENRON chiefs Kenneth Lay and Jeff Skilling, the KBOO Evening News team has put together an exclusive special program to tell this heartbreaking but cautionary tale of Oregon history.
