First of all I want to thank all the volunteers who helped with the Amy Goodman/David Goodman benefit we did last month. It was a great success and we raised about $16,000. Upcoming benefits include the Pink Martini Fundfest in June at the Crystal Ballroom with KBOO as one of the 4 non-profit beneficiaries. Big thanks to Pink Martini for choosing KBOO this year! And don't forget, the monthly KBOO Reggae Benefit happens May 24 at the Blue Monk and features Nuborn Tribe w/ Ital Vibes. We're springing towards summer now and the next couple of weeks there's tons of great stuff going on. Some of the events we're co-sponsoring include the Greener Homes and Gardens Expo, the Pangaea Project Benefit with the Everyone Orchestra this weekend and the multicultural PSU Roots Festival and City Repair's Village Building Convergence next week. As always check the Outreach and Events page for details about these and all our co-sponsored and benefit events. One more thing, we are coming upon the busy festival/events season and we're always looking for enthusiastic KBOO lovers to help spread the word by tabling at events. If you're interested in learning more, contact me or Ani Haines our volunteer coordinator to see how you can get plugged in.
