Important youth space could be compromised in East Portland. They are looking for business!

Morpheus Youth Project (MYP) has offered for the last two years a space for youth and the community in East Portland, at the corner of SE Market and 122nd, an area of our city which has few options for youth activities. The space is open all day and most evenings for the community to use and MYP also organizes break dancing, art, radio and t-shirt printing workshops for youth. Today, they face loosing the space because of lack of funds and they are looking for community's support! Check out their t-shirt printing opperation Morpheus Printworks! East Portland is home to some of the fastest growing neighborhoods in the city and to 28% of all of the Portland population. Rapid growth has been straining area resources, including, but not limited to, inadequate community services. This is where we can come into play and support the space as a community!

The goal of Morpheus Youth Project (MYP) is to transform the lives of youth in and around Portland through arts and awareness. MYP facilitates programs and workshops for youth in juvenile detention centers, youth correctional facilities, and schools. You can find out more about the organization by checking out their website: http://www.morpheusyouth.org/

Also, show your support by supporting or spreading the word about their efforts to save the space: https://www.generosity.com/community-fundraising/save-morpheus-youth-pro...

And of course, order your t-shirt printing orders from them: http://www.morpheusyouth.org/printing

Delphine Criscenzo interviewed KBOO volunteer and MYP volunteer Executive Director, Carlos Chavez and Alex Southworth, volunteer Creative Arts Director about their space and their t-shirt printing business.
