The 36th Northwest Film & Video Festival is ongoing at the NWFC. Some of the shorts are one minute, all are just a few minutes. The films are by Northwest film-makers, and are generally on topics and locations of interest in our area.
The Lens on China series continues there as well. China is undergoing great changes, with one foot back in the Maoist "Red China" of the past, and one foot in the 21st Century. These films reflect the changing face of China, through documentary and fiction. A wonderful series for anyone wondering what the world will be like when China is the world's dominant power. No guarantees, of course, beyond a chance to see some good movies.
