Out Loud is preparing a literary feast for your ears and sharing important details on some upcoming events.  (more below)

The show will include an author interview with Blind Eye mystery writers Diane and Jacob Anderson-Minshall, discussing their newest book: Blind Faith! The day after this radio show, on Wed January 14th, Diane will be reading from this same book, Blind Faith! Join this dynamic couple at QLiterati!, the LGBTQ Literary series, which they host the 2nd Wednesday of every month 7-9pm at the Q Center (69 Taylor at Water).

You'll also hear from local authors Lipstick and Dipstick! With measured blend of guidance, wit and sincerity from the femme and the butch perspective, Lipstick & Dipstick is a punchy advice column in CURVE Magazine, the nation's best-selling lesbian magazine. We might discuss their book, Lipstick & Dipstick's Essential Guide to Lesbian Relationships from Alyson Books, and we'll definately get excited about them emceeing the big L Word premiere for it's final season. This event SOLD OUT last year! That's happening on Sunday, January 18 from 5:30pm to 9pm at the Bagdad Theatre (3702 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd).

Ok, there's no hiding it. I love these ladies and we giggle alot. This should be a fun interview! Here is the audio from the last time this duo was on Out Loud - a year ago this week!

And for the female athletes in the audience, we'll be talking with the Amazon Dragonboat team, Portland's all lesbian dragonboat team. They are recruiting new members & all women 16 years old and older are welcome. You can meet the team in person at their recruiting event on Sun. Jan. 11 from10:30am to 12pm at the Q Center (69 SE Taylor at SE Water Ave).

Remember: Every Tuesday at 6 pm, you can enjoy an hour of programming from the LGBTQ community. First Tues/month: The Other Team. Third Tues/month: Gender Blender. Second and Fourth Tues/month: Out Loud

Until next time: Stay Proud & Live Out Loud!

Happy New Year!
