Hi folks, I've made up a pdf (attached) of the paginated Cabaret Script for opening night, Wed., Aug. 27 at 7p. Tzara, Arp and Vache are taken. There are still some larger speaking parts open, yet to be filled by male or female voice: Announcer (pp. 3-5, 12, 16, 31, 41, 59, & 61) Man Ray (pp. 19-20) Harold Rosenberg (pp 39-40) Please be prepared to be creative and theatrical and comfortable with a mic in your face performing live. There are also three dada songs which I would like to record in advance and for which I'd prefer having a woman's voice (pp 44-46). And anyone who wishes to participate will draw numbers from a pot to do the numbered lines in the group readings (pp 11-12, 20-28, 31-38, 41-42, 48-49, 50-58, & 61-63) and must be there by 6p to get numbers and brief instruction. Note that there will be room for some free-form vocal play in the last vocal section when you folks are all warmed up and in tune with each other. IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON PARTICIPATING PLEASE PRINT OUT A COPY OF THE SCRIPT FOR YOURSELF ... AT LEAST OF THE PAGES YOU INTEND TO READ. thanks. At this point we have drummer, flute, accordion. It looks like the only chance we will have for anything like a rehearsal is going to be late that afternoon. Group reading will be cold although there might be a quick vocal warm-up. I'm hoping that everyone who intends to participate in the cabaret will come and join in. If you have any ideas or additional material or offers for the Cabaret PLEASE GET IN TOUCH right away. thanks love raf
