HOTEL
We
have negotiated a good rate of $109 plus tax at University Place, a
downtown hotel just four blocks from the conference center. This is a
flat rate, good for one to four persons per room. The rate is good July
23 through July 29. Each room has two double beds. The number of rooms
at this rate is limited, so reserve now. You can grab a room now and
add roommates later on, but you must call to tell the hotel their

HOMESTAYS
KBOO
volunteers and listeners are willing to put you up in their homes. Note
that some of these may not have plush facilities, and some may require
a commute to the conference center. The way to arrange a home stay is
to send an email to hearusnow@gmail.com, defining your needs. You will be connected with a potential host.
HOSTELS
There
are two hostels in Portland. Both are about 1 1/2 miles from the
conference center, with frequent bus service. NW Portland Hostel, 425
NW 18th Ave., 888-777-0067, www.2oregonhostels.com. Portland Hawthorne
Hostel, 3031 SE Hawthorne Boulevard, 866-447-3031,
www.portlandhostel.org. The rate is $22-25 per person. The hostels do
fill up, so don't delay.
