"Shopping While Black" Stories from Roosevelt High Students in S. Renee Mitchell's Writing Class

Jo Ann Hardesty welcomes S. Renee Mitchell and some students from Roosevelt High who experienced shopping while black at a Norstrom Rack store.  S. Renee Mitchell is the director of Spitwrite, and calls herself a Creative Revolutionist. She has created a writing program at Roosevelt.  Renee has worked with the students joining us to have them put their experience of shopping while black in writing. They will share both their stories and the writing project that they birthed.
