Ornette Coleman Special: New Language.
On tonight's show we wil honour the work of Ornette Coleman. A true visionary.
Coleman passed away on June 11th, 2015, at age 85. His contribution to music in general is unequalled, to say the least.
On La Ruleta we will be playing his last recording: New Language, which stands as an important statement on modern music about his composition and improvisational method: Harmolodics, which he applied to many of his compositions and performances; as well as some other material of equal importance.
Without need of much bluff, tune in to enjoy a pleasant evening with one of the last geniuses of the free jazz generation.
