Founder of the Center for Media Democracy, is an independent writer, organizer and activist. He has co-authored six books including the best-sellers Toxic Sludge Is Good for You in 1995, Trust Us We’re Experts in 2001 and a New York Times best-seller Weapons of Mass Deception in 2003. In 1993 he founded the non-profit Center for Media and Democracy in Madison, Wisconsin to investigate and expose organized corporate and government propaganda, running it until retiring in 2009.
