Liysa (Northon) Swart plead guilty to manslaughter in 2001 and served 12 years in prison. The villain portrayed in Ann Rule’s book “Heart Full of Lies”, Liysa claims she had to protect herself and her children from an abusive husband when the judicial system failed to do so.
