Bill Resnick talk with Sam Gidin in this first of a two-part interview. They consider why working class resistance during the current crisis has been insufficient to prevail over the maneuvers of the ruling apparatuses, and what’s the long term strategy/vision to build power.

Gidin was a strategist/organizer for the CAW, the Canadian Auto Workers. He now teaches at York University. He is the author with Leo Panitch of the forthcoming book, The Making of Global Capitalism.
