Vacilando is a Portland band composed at the core of three individuals who began their journey together in their work at Fluff and Gravy Records and recording studio.  Not long after starting up the label, songwriter, guitarist and singer, John Shepski, gave birth to Vacilando as a solo act with occasional guest players.  After guesting fellow FnG mates, Chad and Juniana Lanning on bass/moog and drums/percussion/soundsamples/back-up vocals, John realized Vacilando was now born again as a permanent trio.  Each individual comes to the music from a different angle: John, from 90's indie rock and rootsy experimental, Chad from outlaw country and Pink Floyd, and Juniana from Contemporary classical and avant garde electronic. Their tastes all cross-over and compliment each other, blossoming into a sound most accurately described at "bleak midwestern soundscapes" or "bummercore."  Now imagine what happens when members of Vacilando get together with their record collections.  Or don't bother imagining and tune in to the Outside World this Friday
