Tonight we are pleased to present the second collaborative project of Oregon Community Media, Independent Community Radio and Media working in collaboration to better serve Oregon.
OCM is a new collaboration composed of more than twenty local and independent community broadcasters, some as established as our own KBOO and as small as some of Oregon’s newest Low Power FM stations. All share a commitment to community service and to keeping local voices alive on the radio dial.
Participating in this program about farmers markets from Oregon Community Media are:
KWSO-FM serving the Warm Springs Reservation community, KMUZ-FM broadcasting from Salem to the mid-Willamette Valley. KSOW-LP, local radio in Cottage Grove. Central Oregon’s voice, KPOV-FM in Bend. KSHD from Shady Cove, homegrown radio in Ashland, KSKQ-FM, and KBOO Community Radio, Portland OR
Our topic tonight is Farmers Markets, and the benefits they bring to rural and urban communities. the popularity of farmers markets has increased dramatically in the united states in the last 10 years, and with popularity, there have been increasing benefits to farmers, consumers, and the wider commuity.
