Description:

“A world destroyed by pollution from poorly designed robots, where the sun hasn't been visible in over a decade and many people are confined to their homes due to pollution-sickness, is divided about the release of a new pollutant fuel. The world is suddenly changed when a mysterious flock of rainbow kittens with wings appears and eats all the pollution. Will the sun stay? Will the robots stay? Do we still need the fuel? What about the rainbow kittens? The ensuing chaos due to the divided interests of the military, government, and community finally comes to a resolution…”

Portland Supported Employment is proud to present Rainbow Kittens With Wings, a full-scale original musical theatre production starring talented artists and performers from Portland’s adult developmentally disabled community.

A visual montage of brightly colored cardboard and cloth handmade sets, costumes, and frenetic DIY stop motion animation combines with an entrancing plot, awesome original dance numbers and sing-alongs, and an all-star live band featuring members of Sounds Like Fun, Heroes and Villains, Grouper, Point Juncture Washington, and Juice + Milk.

Come and join us as we sing and dance about making friends, taking a stand against pollution and bad attitudes, and joining together with love and music to battle the evils of the modern world!

Matinee performances: March 28th, 29th, 30th/ 12 noon (doors 11:30)

Evening performances: April 2nd, 3rd/ 6pm (doors 5: 30)—live band
