Oregon's 2012 ballot initiatives: the good, the bad, and the ugly

Oregon's 2012 ballot initiatives: the good, the bad, and the ugly

Oregonians will be sorting through another bevy of state and local ballot measures as they cast their votes this year. The issues include private casinos, marijuana legalization, gillnet fishing, estate tax breaks and the corporate kickers. In Portland, voters will decide on library funding, police and firefighter pension reform  and school construction. Some of these measures, Measures 82 and 83 to allow private casinos, have been highly visible campaigns, while others like the proposed estate tax break has been flying under the radar. How do you sort out the good, the bad, and the ugly? This week, Jo Ann and Dave take a look at statewide and local ballot measures, the people behind the campaigns and the impacts each will have on our state and our communities.
