Happy Tuesday! This is Margaret with your community calendar for February 14.

This evening, and every Tuesday, from 7 to 10 pm, you’re invited to join Bikes for Humanity for a volunteer bike repair project. This community service project, which aims to provide affordable refurbished bikes to the public, needs volunteers to catalog, clean and refurbish the bikes for adoption events. New faces are welcome at the Community Exchange Bike School, at 4038 SE Brooklyn St. in Portland.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, the Multnomah County Health Department will hold a walk-in community immunization clinic from 9 am to 3 pm on the first floor of the East County Services Building, located at 600 NE 8th St in Gresham. Available services include lead screenings, TB testing, childhood immunizations, and adult vaccination and antibody titer testing. Some of these services are also available every week by appointment at the county building in downtown Portland; more information is available at multco dot us slash health slash immunizations.

Tri-met is hosting a series of community open house sessions on proposed changes to fares and services. You can learn more about the proposed changes, and share your feedback in person, by attending an open house. One will be hosted in downtown Portland tomorrow, Wednesday, from 4:30–6:30 p.m; that’s in Room C of Portland Building at 1120 SW 5th Ave.
Then on Thursday,also from 4:30–6:30 p.m, the open house will he held in the Community Room of the Clackamas Town Center, which is at 12000 SE 82nd Ave.

Tomorrow afternoon at Portland State University, philosopher and theologian Sarah Sentilles will discuss “Art, Religion, and Torture: Constructing an Ethical Response to Violence against Others” That’s tomorrow at 4 pm in room 296 of the Smith Memorial Student Union, located at 1825 SW Broadway.
