In this era of highly corporatized media (including Portland), KBOO is truly unique by operating as a noncommercial, listener-supported, volunteer-driven, community radio station.  Roughly 90% of our annual operating funds come from local sources, most of it from individual members.

Members also vote annually to elect our Board of Directors, which sets broad policy for the station, and many actively participate on committees or as volunteers.

By becoming a member, you are directly helping keep independent radio on the airwaves in the Portland metro area, the Willamette Valley, the Columbia River Gorge, and online.

KBOO Community Radio does not trade, rent or sell any donor personal information.

We only release member information if legally required.
