The recent crude oil train derailment along the Columbia River Gorge has put a focus on the small town of Mosier, Oregon. While the town is best known for its cherry orchards, Mosier is also known for being located in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Local grassroots organization Friends of the Columbia Gorge have started a project called Gorge Towns to Trails, a 200 mile trail that will take visitors through the area's natural features as well as highlight local businesses along the way, including stops in Mosier. Friends of the Columbia Gorge Executive Director, Kevin Gorman, joined us live in Studio 2 to tell us about the project and what "wiking" is.
