Fighting Corporate Power: Friday May 7th: 7 am – 8 pm

Since when did corporations become more powerful than people?  How is it that corporate entities have been awarded all the benefits of US citizenship, without any of the responsibilities?  And what can WE THE PEOPLE do about it??  This special day of programming will address the recent supreme court decision on corporate free speech, as well as other aspects of creeping corporate power that undermine sovereignty and democracy.

8:00 Positively Revolting: Ani and Lyn will be joined in the studio with special guests Howard Wooldridge and Alice Ivany, who are on a statewide tour to educate people on the failed prohibition drug policies, and the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program.
 
9:00 APA Compass focuses on alternatives to corporate media, including New America Media, a collaborative and advocacy organization of over 2,000 ethnic media organizations, independent non-profit Hyphen Magazine and a discussion on new social media (like Facebook!).
