Interview with Fight for Fifteen
Bill Resnick talks with Fight for $15 labor activist, Trisha Kahle, about the movement and its political contexts. She is an SEIU union organizer and works at Whole Foods. She is also the author of a recent Jacobin Magazine article about why the Left shouldn't downplay organizing low-wage workers. They talk about the campaign, the re-mobilization of the working-class, Trisha's personal experience working in different kinds of low-wage industries and what she's learned about how workers gain consciousness of their power. Bill waxes earnestly about the democratic tendency mutually defining the Old Mole and the Fight for Fifteen's rank-and-file organizing model.
