She talks about the surprising and rapid transition to democracy going on in Burma and the ongoing struggle of minorities there as well. In November, Mirante traveled to Burma including areas of conflict in the northeastern border area. She will bring us up to date on the struggle of the Kachin minority and their war with the Burmese army.
