I am excited to announce that I am moving out of the PM News and Public Affairs chair in January to join the new KBOO Radio Community Advisory Board and help build out our community-wide response to the incoming Trump Administration.
I will be focusing on edits to my book, How to Be a Citizen Journalist (thank you Microcosm Publishing!), while working with KBOO volunteers and others on to teach everyday people hard-hitting journalism based on ethics, fact-checking and accuracy.
There has never been a better time to be involved at KBOO than now. We just rejoined the Corporation for Public Broadcasting! Our Interrupting Oppressions training is changing peoples' lives for the better. Our commitment to specifically supporting "the people's Revolution" is spelled out in our three year plan.
I will personally remain at KBOO for another 26 years as a volunteer. Improving our outreach, helping train more and more citizen journalists and helping them find their place in the alternative media world is my life’s work.
As Donald J Trump is elected president of the United States, KBOO’s mission is increasingly clear: To make space for a true people’s democracy.
