today's music

Salam,

What were the songs you were playing at 11:30 and 11:45 today?  Thanks.

today's opening music

I loved the guitar music you played for your opening this morning.  Could you tell me more about it?  Who was that playing?

Happy New Year!  Thank

Fields of green red and white

On this morning's Noroz program Someone whose name escaped me read a poem that began with the images of a dripping rain gutter and spring showers and ended with an ode to our beloved country. Who was that? has he been published anywhere? Where? can I find his divan? or at least this poem?

Thank you for listening to the Persian Hour on KBOO.  The poem is written and was recited by Masoud Sepand.  You can search him on the Internet.

Rumi Poem

Hello,

I listened to the program on Sunday 2/7.  There was a Rumi Poem read.  I was really interested in the name of it and where I might find it.  Thanks for your time!

Regards,

Joy

Hi Joy,

Thanks for listening to the Persian Hour. You may be referring to a poem by Attar Neyshaboori titled Ey_Del_Agar_Asheghi.  You should be able to find the lyrics on the Internet.

Wrong Singer for Rafigh- Not Ebi rather Siavosh Ghomeyshi

I just wanted to note that the song played at 11:40 Am today was not from Ebi as Bahram mentioned twice. The song "Rafigh" is from the other famous Persian singer Siavosh Ghomeyshi. Thanks.

Economic Stimulus review with your guest Dr. Khodaparast on 2/22

Dear Bahram;

Thank you for all your hard work and I truly enjoyed your program with Dr. Khodaparast on 2/22/09, but you and your guest must admit that there are contrary views on this stimulus spending package and not everyone is agreeing to the point of view which is presented on your show.

$787 billion dollars spending sounds a little to you two, but there are many who believe that this is too much of printed money hurting and deteriorating our economy and it is not an approach that a Capitalist society should have ever considered.
