This week, OLMV welcomes Producer Relations Manager for Canaan Fair Trade, Vivien Sansour, and Palestinian-American doctor and professor, Jess Ghannam. Dr. Ghannam has done extensive humanitarian work in the Gaza Strip; he co-hosts the San Francisco radio talk-show ARAB TALK WITH JESS AND JAMAL and is a board member for the Palestinian Academic and Cultural Boycott Campaign. Vivien Sansour is a writer and organizer who has been documenting the lives and work of Palestinian farmers of the Palestine Fair Trade Association.

Cecilie Surasky joined the staff of JVP in 2003 as part of a Ford Foundation human rights fellowship following 15 years working with NGOs on advocacy communications. The granddaughter of Labor Zionist activists, a videomaker, former newspaper columnist and talk radio host, Ms. Surasky's analyses of Israel-Palestine politics have appeared in numerous media outlets around the world. She graduated from Brown University with a BA in Religious Studies with special honors for her work in Modern Culture and Media. She also heads up JVP's online outreach and is editor of Muzzlewatch, JVP's acclaimed blog documenting efforts to silence open debate about Israel-Palestine policy.

This week's guest is Trip Jennings who has just returned from a winter volunteering with the International Solidarity Movement in the West Bank. Jennings is an environmental filmmaker by profession and an environmental and social justice activist. He founded the Portland-based outdoor and environmental media company, The Epicocity Project. He was recognized by the National Geographic as "Adventurer of the Year" in 2008 for his work with threatened rivers, indigenous cultures and oil palm plantations in Papua New Guinea.
