Lawrence Johnson

When Lawrence Johnson's dad died, he inherited his dad's stuff--a garage-sized storage unit's worth of stuff. As his filmStuff unfolds, Johnson explores his relationship with his father through as he sorts through the things his father left behind.

At the same time, Johnson's friend Phil is also dealing with the death of his father. The film follows Phil's journey to Iowa to bury his father's ashes. As both men evaluate their relationships with their fathers, they also turn inward to evaluate themselves.

Animation from "Stuff"

Stuff combines live action documentary with inventive animation to tell the story of the complex and often difficult relationships between fathers and sons.
