Thursday, April 22nd is Earth Day. The importance of the impending climate crisis has individuals and organizations looking for ways to make a difference, and Earth Day can be a catalyst for thinking about the climate future. One organization puts its efforts towards connecting non profits and businesses on Earth Day to support activism and sustainable development all year round. Earth Day Oregon is a volunteer organization that works to amplify the message of Earth Day and build partnerships in Oregon communities. KBOO's Althea Billings spoke with Earth Day Oregon Founder Bethany Shetterly Thomas to learn more about their work.

Additionally, on Thursday, April 22nd, KBOO will be celebrating Earth Day with special programming from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a focus on climate action close to home and around the globe.
